Swanage Christmas Market 2023

All Happening at the Christmas Market!

The festive season arrived in Swanage in full force on Saturday (2nd December) with the annual Christmas Market coming to town.

Taking place this year not only in Station Road but also extending into Institute Road, the weather was almost perfect, cold but with no rain or wind to worry about, and there were over 50 stalls for both locals and visitors to the town to enjoy. A wide variety of more bespoke gifts and crafts, as well as plentiful food and drink outlets, were available and Father Christmas was also in town to delight the children!

There was plenty of entertainment to enjoy too. Andrew Cannon kicked things off with some seasonal favourites. He was followed by the All Sort’d Choir, always a favourite. Kelp then picked up the baton in the early afternoon before Churches Together performed some classic carols and other festive staples.

Feedback from those attending was very positive, with glowing comments regarding the extra space available and the range of stalls on display. Stall holders, too, were very happy, all of whom appear to have had a good day’s trading.

Swanage & Purbeck Rotary hasn’t finished with December yet though. Santa’s visits around the town continue on Monday 4th and our Charity Shop and Charity Mail will be open from 10am Mondays to Saturdays at Harlees, 6 Station Road, in the run up to the big day.
