Lighting Up Langton!

Rotarian Maggie Hardy reports on a night of song and joy

I felt honoured to represent Rotary at the switching on ceremony of the Langton village lights.
Rotary has supported the cost of the Lights.
The event was held at St George’s Church where, after switching on the Lights, everyone sang carols, listened to Christmas poems and enjoyed a hot drink and cakes.

During the celebrations, those present visited
the beautifully decorated trees of The Christmas Tree festival, which was in aid of Admiral Nurse and Mosaic – both charities Swanage Rotary have or are currently supporting.

With the summer just around the corner, we are hopeful of raising many more funds to help support worthy causes, both local and further afield, from the various summer events that will be taking place over the coming weeks.
